Get your costumes ready! We’re less than two weeks away from the third annual Trunk or Treat hosted by our partners at @naparksohio. The event takes place Saturday, October 14 from 3-6 p.m. at Bevelhymer Park and features inflatables, hayrides, pumpkin carving demonstrations, food trucks, and more than 60 trunks to visit! #newalbanyohio #mynewalbany

🇩🇪 Mark your calendars for the @newalbanychamber's two-day Oktoberfest community festival, happening on Friday, October 6, from 5 to 11 p.m. and Saturday, October 7, from noon to 11 p.m. Located on Market Street just southeast of CVS between US 62 and Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road, this event features live entertainment, the OSU game on the Super Screen, a beer garden, food trucks, and vendors. Kid Zone activities include free bounce houses, balloon twisters, face painters, caricature artists, photo stations, and more! 🇩🇪 #newalbanyohio #mynewalbany

Registration is now open for the 2024 New Albany Citizen Police Academy! These classes are led by New Albany police officers and cover real-life scenarios with hands-on exercises. Residents (age 18+) of the City of New Albany, Plain Township, or New Albany-Plain Local Schools are welcome to apply. Fall is here and that means our leaf collection pr

Fall is here and that means our leaf collection program is about to begin! This year’s program is scheduled to run October 2 through December 1. We will be implementing a new 9-zone approach to leaf collection this season. On Monday, October 2, crews will start in zone 1 and will move through the city in sequential order. Head to newalbanyohio.org/leaf-collection (link in bio) for instructions and to access an interactive map. Please plan to have your leaves raked to the back of the curb by the Monday of your scheduled zone week.

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost today announced the success of a weeklong statewide human trafficking crackdown, “Operation Buyer’s Remorse,” which sought to arrest those trying to buy sex and to identify survivors of human trafficking.The operation led to 160 arrests and was comprised of coordinated “stings” conducted by OOCIC’s eight human trafficking and major crimes task forces. As part of the statewide crackdown, the New Albany Police Department made 10 arrests for the sale of commercial sex, recovered two firearms, and will have multiple drug charges pending lab results.“This latest operation is part of a proactive and shared effort to help victims of human trafficking,” said New Albany Police Chief Greg Jones. “Additionally, our goal is to offer aid and options to individuals involved in the dangerous work of prostitution and prosecute those who exploit them. The New Albany Police Department remains committed to working with the Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office to battle human exploitation at every level.”Learn more: bit.ly/3PGqGEH ...
