Planning Commission Meeting

The Planning Commission hears applications for land use, zoning classifications, recommends legislative actions, reviews legislation, rules, and regulations re: city planning, land use, and zoning. Informal Meetings (I) are held at Village Hall (99 W. Main Street) the 1st Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Regular meetings (R) are held at Village Hall (99 W. Main Street) the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

New Albany City Council generally meets at Village Hall the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. City council may hold special council meetings and workshops, as needed. They may cancel a meeting due to lack of agenda items. These will be posted on the city's website and on bulletin boards at Village Hall and the Public Service Complex. New Albany 101: Business Park Tour

From its groundbreaking in 1997 to present-day construction on the Intel site, the New Albany International Business Park has seen tremendous growth. Join New Albany Economic Development staff on a shuttle tour that includes the history of the business park, design and development standards, plus other interesting facts. Please note this tour requires advance registration* and, due to limited capacity, is available to New Albany residents (222 tax district) only. *Registration opens in August.

Touch-A-Truck

The City of New Albany will be hosting its annual Touch-a-Truck event at our public service complex (7800 Bevelhymer Rd.) on Saturday, August 24. The day will begin with a special sensory friendly hour from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by hours for the general public from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This rain-or-shine event gives kids the chance to get an up-close look at City vehicles and to talk with police officers, firefighters, and public service crews.

The Board of Zoning Appeals hears and decides appeals regarding legislation and administrative determinations related to zoning and land use. Also hears variances from zoning area regulations and general development standards. Subpoenas witnesses, administers oaths, compels discovery as needed. Meetings are held at Village Hall (99 W.
