We know this summer back to school construction has been rough. Real rough. Each day, we are getting closer to the finish line. All the crosswalk construction near the school campus will be done prior to the start of the school year and the portion of Dublin-Granville under construction near the school campus between Market and Main streets is also running four months ahead of schedule.
In order to meet these aggressive timeframes, we must close the Fodor/Market/Dublin-Granville intersection this Monday, July 29, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., weather permitting. This is the only time period this full intersection will be impacted; and again, rush hour traffic WILL NOT be impacted on Monday.
The Market/Fodor/Dublin-Granville intersection will be paved Monday, as will some of Dublin-Granville under construction between Main and Market streets and the western portion of Dublin-Granville from the Church of the Resurrection to the New Albany corporate line past Greensward. This western portion will remain open to traffic on Monday, with flaggers in the area.
While rush hour traffic will not be impacted on Monday by this closure, we know this will cause headaches for some. We apologize and promise that better travel days are quickly approaching. All of the crosswalk work around the school campus, including the Main/Dublin-Granville intersection, will be complete by August 12.
