Independence Day Neighborhood Parade

Although COVID-19 forced the cancellation of traditional Independence Day festivities, the City of New Albany is working with the New Albany Community Events Board to put on a parade that will travel throughout many neighborhoods. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on July 4, 2020, and will travel roughly 16.5 miles. For the latest information, be sure to follow the City of New Albany’s social media accounts and visit

The turn-by-turn parade directions are as follows:

  • Begin at Church of the Resurrection
  • East on Dublin-Granville past Hampstead Heath and Pickett Place (MILE 1)
  • North on Harlem to small portion of Hampstead
  • West on Dublin-Granville to Market
  • South on Market to Keswick to North of Woods to Yantis to Greensward (MILE 3-4)
  • Greensward past Edge of Woods and New Albany Country Club to 62 (MILE 5)


  • 62 to Planters Grove to Head of Pond and Brandon subdivision (MILE 6)
  • North on Lambton Park Road to Brandon and Baughman Grant (MILE 7-8)
  • Right on Fenway briefly to Olmstead to Aspinwall South
  • Aspinwall South to Ackerly Farm Road to Market Street (MILE 9)
  • Market Street east to Reynoldsburg New Albany to 62 toward Windsor subdivision
  • Through Windsor subdivision (MILE 10) to 605


  • 605 to Central College, past The Enclave, Wentworth and Saunton (MILE 12)
  • North on Dean Farm Road, through The Links, past Dominion Club and through Upper Clarenton (MILE 13)
  • East on Walnut to New Albany Links Drive
  • Head south through The Links
  • West on Central College to Bevelhymer – parade ends on Bevelhymer
