Taste of New Albany
The New Albany Chamber of Commerce will hold the Taste of New Albany featuring food, fun, and friends Sunday, August 2, 2020, 5pm - 10pm at the newly opened Rose Run Park. This annual outdoor event showcases area restaurants, caterers, specialty food vendors, craft beer makers, and distilleries. Guests will enjoy a variety of food, beer, wine, spirits, and specialty cocktails - all while practicing responsible social distancing. Earth Day Activities
The City of New Albany has Earth Day activities planned for Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rose Run Park near Raines Crossing. We’ll have an E-waste drive where people can bring old electronics to be recycled. This will be a free event, and all IT material will be accepted. On Friday, April 29, 2022, in honor of Arbor Day, we will be having a short ceremony at 9 a.m. City staff will be planting a ginkgo tree at Rose Run Park near Raines Crossing. After the ceremony, staff will plant five large witch hazel shrubs along the hill sides on either side of Raines Crossing.

Diwali Celebration
Make plans to visit Rose Run Park on November 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. for the city's first Diwali celebration! The City of New Albany's IDEA Implementation Panel has been collaborating with a resident focus group to plan the Diwali activities. Known as "The Festival of Lights," Diwali celebrates the symbolic victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. Join us for music, dancing, food and fireworks!
