We’re on the lookout for passionate New Albany residents to join our brand-new Community Connectors program. As a Community Connector, you’ll be the heartbeat of your neighborhood, helping to organize events and fostering a tight-knit community.
Community Connectors foster social connectivity by providing support to residents and encourage their participation in neighborhood and City activities. Responsibilities include the following:
- Attend annual training event
- Attend annual recognition event
- Be a point of contact between the program lead and the neighborhood
- Maintain an ongoing contact list of residents in the neighborhood
- Reach out and provide welcoming support to new residents using the materials provided by the city
- Plan and support at least one neighborhood event annually:
- Neighborhood July 4th/Founder’s Day parade float
- Field Day
- Pickleball tournaments between neighborhoods
- Neighborhood picnic
- Community/neighborhood cleanup
