Plans are underway for a new Veterans Memorial in New Albany to honor those who have served while adding richness to the existing greenspace network. In order to create a unique Veterans Memorial for New Albany, the City of New Albany worked with landscape architect MKSK and a focus group composed of New Albany residents, veterans, and veterans’ advocates.

Veterans Memorial will be located within the currently planned Phase II of Rose Run Park and will incorporate the recently restored Founders Field. This site is located adjacent to Village Hall and at the gateway of the new Phase II of Rose Run Park, so it immediately feels part of the civic core. This location also has access to ample parking and is well connected to the existing pedestrian circulation.
