Xzavier Brandon, a New Albany High School graduate, is working with the New Albany Police Department to coordinate a peaceful demonstration for equality on Saturday, June 6. The demonstration will be a 4.3 mile walk, beginning at New Albany High School at 2 p.m. and winding through Market Street to Main Street to High Street to Central College to New Albany Road East, New Albany Road, and then Fodor, back to the high school. The demonstration will take place mostly on trails and sidewalks, but NAPD will assist with traffic control when crossing the street is necessary. If you are traveling by vehicle in these areas, please allow extra time to reach your destination.
