The City of New Albany and Ohio Department of Transportation are seeking public comments for proposed improvements to Johnstown Road from Chappell Drive to Smith’s Mill Road. The project includes redesigned highway interchange ramps, new medians and turn lanes, the addition of sidewalks and leisure trails along US 62, and a traffic signal at the US 62 intersection that includes Marburn Academy and the Plain Township Fire Station. Construction is expected to begin in Summer 2021 and is anticipated to be complete in late 2022.
