New Albany Police Seek Information in Fatal Hit-Skip Crash

The New Albany Police Department is seeking information that will help solve a fatal hit-skip crash that occurred one year ago.

On April 19, 2022, around 2:30 p.m., 46-year-old Bronson Crampton of Newark was driving his gray Honda Accord eastbound on SR 161 west of the Beech Road exit while another motorist, driving what is believed to be a tan 2006-2011 Honda Civic, was headed in the same direction. Investigators say a road rage incident took place while both motorists were traveling at a high rate of speed through traffic. Crampton swerved off the road and crashed into trees. He was hospitalized with critical injuries. On January 11, 2023, he died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Bronson Crampton is survived by two children. He’ll be remembered for his love of family and motorcycles.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the New Albany Police Department at 614.855.1234 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614.461.TIPS.
