Detectives with the New Albany Police Department are investigating several thefts from unlocked vehicles. These crimes have mostly occurred in the early morning hours and likely involve the same suspects. If you recognize the suspects in the photos, please contact NAPD at 614.855.1234.

Police would like to remind residents to take the necessary steps to prevent crimes of opportunity.

• Keep your garage door closed at night.
• Secure property around your home.
• Lock your vehicles.

It is important to keep your vehicles locked because thieves can take garage door openers from unlocked vehicles to gain access to homes through garages. It’s also important to remove push button start key fobs from your vehicle, or you may wake up to find your vehicle missing.
