Help Our Roadsides Stay Beautiful

The City of New Albany relies on residents to help maintain safe and attractive streets during our mowing season, which runs from May to October.

As a resident, your responsibility is to keep the tree lawn— the strip of grass between the roadway and sidewalk—trimmed and tidy. Similarly, if your property borders a street or curb, it’s up to you to ensure this area is mowed and clear of debris. The City does not provide mowing services for areas next to private homes or buildings. To keep our neighborhoods looking their best, please remember that the City ordinance requires grass to be kept below 8 inches in height.
