Construction began Tuesday, May 28, on a new drop-right turn lane from SR-605 into the New Albany-Plain Local Schools’ campus parking lot at Chatham Green Drive. This project aims to enhance pedestrian safety around the school campus and improve southbound traffic flow on SR-605 during school pick-up and drop-off times.

The construction should be substantially completed by August 19, before the new school year starts. While no closures are expected, lane reductions and other traffic impacts will occur throughout the project. Drivers should anticipate occasional delays.

Complete General Construction will be handling the project, with CTL Engineering overseeing inspection and administration on behalf of the City of New Albany.
