New Albany 101 Events

New Albany is known for its beautiful neighborhoods, charming Market Square and world-renowned business park…but do you know how we grew from a small farming village to the thriving community we are today? Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of some of New Albany’s most iconic places to learn the who, what, when, where, and why from the City staff, City Council Members and City Board and Commission members who shape our community.

August 21: Business Park Tour

From its groundbreaking in 1997 to present-day construction on the Intel site, the New Albany International Business Park has seen tremendous growth. Join New Albany Economic Development staff on a shuttle tour that includes the history of the business park, design and development standards, plus other interesting facts. Please note this tour requires advance registration* and, due to limited capacity, is available to New Albany residents (222 tax district) only.

  • Time: Three departure times are available – 4, 5 & 6 p.m.
  • Location: Village Hall, 99 W. Main St.

*Registration opens in August.

October 8: Hinson Amphitheater Tour

Making its debut in 2021, the Charleen and Charles Hinson Amphitheater has quickly become an arts attraction in downtown New Albany. The 800+ seat venue has hosted concerts, dance festivals, Juneteenth, and fundraisers since opening its gates. Join us for an up-close look at the amazing structure and a peek of what happens behind the scenes!
