The City of New Albany will be hosting its annual Touch-a-Truck event at our public service complex (7800 Bevelhymer Rd.) on Saturday, August 19. The day will begin with a special sensory-friendly hour from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by hours for the general public from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This rain-or-shine event gives kids the chance to get an up-close look at city vehicles and talk with police officers, firefighters, and public service crews. We are also teaming up with the Healthy New Albany Food Pantry to host a breakfast-themed food drive at the event. We are kindly requesting that attendees bring cereal, instant oatmeal, canister oatmeal, granola bars, or applesauce. We hope to see you there!
