Finance Department

In order to ensure fiscal accountability and an accurate presentation of the city’s financial status, New Albany’s finance department provides residents with timely and accurate accounting of receipts and disbursements.

To become even more transparent, the city is now providing a link to our transparency portal, where residents can review financial transactions of the city. In addition, the finance department coordinates an annual audit conducted by Ohio’s Auditor of State, and is also responsible for coordinating debt issuance.

New Albany’s general obligation ratings are the highest possible with the three major global rating agencies: S&P Global Ratings (AAA), Moody’s Ratings (Aaa), and Fitch Ratings (AAA). The City of New Albany is one of only three Ohio cities to obtain this “triple-triple” status, reflecting effective strategic planning, strong financial management, and long-term fiscal responsibility.

The 2024 Annual Comprehensive Finance Report (ACFR) is available for review and has been certified by the State.  New Albany’s 2023 ACFR is available for review and has been certified by the State.
