ODOT’s SR 161 Widening Project will lead to closures the weekend of July 13 at SR 161 and US 62 (Johnstown Road). Crews from Kokosing will be pouring the portions of the bridge decks that tie the existing bridge to the new portion. Work will take place on both the eastbound and westbound bridge decks at the same time in an effort to limit traffic impacts to only one weekend.

• On Saturday, July 13, the US 62 closure will start around 1 p.m., and the SR 161 closure will start around 2 p.m.
• The closures will remain in effect until roughly 5 a.m. on Monday, July 15.
• The traffic signals at both bottoms of eastbound and westbound ramps will be flashing yellow for traffic flowing down the off-ramps and back up the on-ramps.
• For safety reasons, there will be no pedestrian access under SR 161 in both directions on US 62 for the duration of the closure.
