City Council Issues Proclamation for Black History Month

At their February 18 meeting, New Albany City Council issued a proclamation to recognize February as Black History Month, honoring the rich culture and achievements of African Americans. This year’s theme, “African Americans and Labor,” highlights the impact of Black workers across industries and their role in shaping our nation’s history. We encourage all residents to take time this month to celebrate and reflect on the contributions of African Americans to our community and beyond.
