This page contains legal public notices of public hearings as required by Ohio Revised Code §731.21, and New Albany City Code §1111.05, §1111.07, and §1113.05.  If you wish to speak at the public hearing, you must attend the meeting in person.  The meeting will be streamed for viewing purposes only via the City of New Albany.

The New Albany Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on May 5, 2025 on the following application:

  • FDP-05-2025.  A final development plan to allow for construction of an AEP electrical substation on 9.50 acres located at 7375 Souder Road.

The New Albany City Council will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on May 6, 2025 in Village Hall to consider the following proposed ordinance:

  • ORDINANCE O-18-2025 
    An Ordinance to amend the Zoning Ordinance of the City of New Albany by amending the Zoning Map to rezone 15.504 +/- acres of land generally located east of south of Jug Street and west of Clover Valley Road for an area known as the “Clover Valley Expansion District” from its current zoning of Infill Planned Unit Development (IPUD) to Limited General Employment (L-GE) as requested by the EdgeConnex, MCN, c/o Jack Reynolds. The New Albany Architectural Review Board will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on May 12, 2025 in the New Albany Village Hall to discuss the following applications:
  • ARB-26-2025.  A request for a certificate of appropriateness to allow for a garage to be built and waivers for the garage size, garage door size, garage door visibility from the street, and proximity to property lines at 6588 New Albany Condit Road.
  • ARB-29-2025.  A request for a certificate of appropriateness for the replacement of one wall sign and two window signs at 160 W. Main Street.

 

The New Albany City Council will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on May 20, 2025 in Village Hall to consider the following Jersey-New Albany Joint Economic Development District No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3:

  • The City of New Albany proposes to enter into a contract to create three Joint Economic Development Districts known as the “Jersey-New Albany Joint Economic Development District No. 1” (“JEDD No. 1”), “Jersey-New Albany Joint Economic Development District No. 2” (“JEDD No. 2”), and “Jersey-New Albany Joint Economic Development District No. 3” (“JEDD No. 3”), with Jersey Township to facilitate economic development, create and preserve jobs and employment opportunities, and improve the economic welfare of the people in the Township, the JEDD district, and the State of Ohio.

    A public hearing on the proposed JEDD contracts will be held at New Albany Village Hall, 99 W. Main Street, New Albany, Ohio, on the day of May 20, 2025 at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers, at which time residents and interested persons may make comments and recommendations, ask questions, and be heard.

    A copy of each (a) the JEDD Contract, (b) the description of the area or areas to be included in the JEDD (the “Description”), including a map in sufficient detail to denote the specific boundaries of the area or areas and to indicate any zoning restrictions applicable to the area or areas, and (c) an economic development plan for each JEDD (the “Economic Development Plan”) consisting of a schedule for the provision of the new, expanded or additional services, facilities or improvements identified in each JEDD Contract, and a schedule for the collection of an income tax to be levied in the JEDD, is on file at the office of the Clerk of Council at New Albany Village Hall, 99 W. The New Albany City Council will hold a public hearing at 6:30 pm on December 3, 2024 in Village Hall to consider the city manager’s request to retire and be rehired, and to consider a resolution authorizing the re-employment of the city manager.

The New Albany City Council will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on October 15, 2024.  The Council of the City of New Albany, Ohio (the “City”) and the Board of Trustees of Jersey Township, Licking County, Ohio (the “Township”) will jointly hold a public hearing concerning a proposed cooperative economic development agreement between the City and the Township.  The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment regarding the proposed cooperative economic development agreement.  The public hearing will be held at the New Albany Village Hall, 99 W. Main Street, New Albany, Ohio 43054 on October 15, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.  Although the hearing will be live-streamed on the City’s website, in-person attendance at the public hearing is required in order to provide comment at the public hearing.  During the thirty-day period prior to the public hearing, a copy of the proposed cooperative economic development agreement will be available for public inspection at the Jersey Township Hall, located at 1481 Mink Street SW, Pataskala, Ohio 43062 and at the office of the Clerk of Council of the City located at 99 W. Main Street, New Albany, Ohio 43054, during those offices’ regular business hours.
