Public Service Director

Mike began his career with New Albany in September 2013, as an engineer working in the community development department. Mike was initially responsible for the management and oversight of the permitting and engineering plan review functions of the department and provided guidance and support to private development projects. During his tenure with New Albany, Mike has managed the design and construction of nearly $100 million of public infrastructure and capital improvement projects. In January 2020, Mike was promoted to deputy director of community development and became more directly involved with economic development efforts along with the day-to-day management of the department budget and operations. Finally, in November 2020, Mike’s role was transitioned to the public service department as part of a department restructuring and succession planning effort. He was promoted to director in  2022.

Prior to his time at New Albany, Mike spent 13 years working in the private sector as an engineering consultant and project manager and provided leadership and representation for more than one hundred residential, commercial and industrial development projects throughout central Ohio.
