Household Hazardous Waste Collection

HHW Collection Event Saturday, October 21, 2023

New Albany residents are invited to join us for a free household hazardous waste (HHW) collection event on October 21 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the New Albany Public Service facility (7800 Bevelhymer Rd.). Please enter from the Walnut Street access road just east of the pickleball complex. The event will take place rain or shine.

This event is for residential HHW products only. The program is not offered to businesses. See below for a list of acceptable items.

Alternative HHW Disposal Options

SWACO contracts with EEI to offer free residential recycling for HHW. Residents can bring accepted waste items for recycling and/or environmentally safe disposal.

Weekly Hours (Closed Holidays)

Wednesdays: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Thursdays: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Fridays: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

This program is not offered to businesses. Businesses should contact EEI, Inc. at 614-294-1300 to inquire about the cost to collect or accept their hazardous materials.
