The City of New Albany has announced plans for the opening of Brick House Blue at Innovate New Albany, a new model of coworking and business development designed to foster collaboration, build community, and drive growth for startups and businesses of all sizes. The City is renovating 22,000 square feet of first floor space at 7775 Walton Parkway that is expected to open in December 2024 in the New Albany International Business Park.
Brick House Blue at Innovate New Albany will offer fully furnished coworking spaces and offices, huddle rooms, a podcasting suite, a sports simulator room, a “pub,” and stocked refreshment stations as well as 24-hour access and ample off-street parking. Brick House Blue will also manage versatile meeting and event spaces that can accommodate groups as small as eight to more than 100 available to everyone throughout the New Albany community.
“Together with Brick House Blue, our new coworking partner, we are excited to offer a one-of-a-kind model to help businesses accelerate growth while navigating barriers,” said Mayor Sloan Spalding. “It’s another example of the innovation ecosystem that leverages partnerships and builds productive alliances to allow our City to attract and retain a remarkable range and caliber of companies.”
Brick House Blue at Innovate New Albany will feature an unparalleled environment curated and managed by one of the region’s most popular coworking providers known for its creative, collaborative communities where businesses find the right fit for growth.

The partnership will allow Innovate New Albany to expand its services and reach to quickly adapt to changing economic and technology trends impacting startups and existing businesses. From legal to financial, provided services include access to a local and regional network of educational offerings, training programs, mentors, and investors. Innovate New Albany has built a large following for its free in-house programs, including popular TIGER® Talks by innovators for innovators that attract hundreds of participants as well as Expert Office Hours that provide professional one-on-one guidance to startups.
“It’s a great opportunity to pivot and focus our attention on providing more of the programs and services that businesses need to succeed,” said Neil Collins, Innovate New Albany hub leader. “We’re not aware of any other communities in Ohio that will offer what Innovate New Albany will be providing through this new partnership with Brick House Blue.”
The launch of Brick House Blue at Innovate New Albany will also include the debut of Barry Bagels in the New Albany market. Barry Bagels, which has served bagels that are boiled and baked fresh daily since 1972, will open a lobby café to provide beverages, fresh bagels, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads, and catering services to local businesses and the entire community.
