Become a Community Connector

Community Connectors foster social connectivity by providing support to residents and encourage their participation in neighborhood and city activities. This program includes components for all residents who wish to feel more connected within the community.

Welcome New Neighbors

Help make new residents feel welcome, connect them to resources, and drop off a welcome package to new residents. 

Facilitate Annual Neighborhood Events

Create opportunities for new and existing residents to get to know their neighbors. For example: Neighborhood July 4th/Founder's, Day parade float, field day, pickleball tournaments between neighbors, community/neighborhood cleanup

Let's Get Started

Start by filling out the interest form, then complete the application once your address is confirmed. After that, the IDEA Panel will look over your application. With approval, we’ll see you at our annual training and recognition events!

Please note: some New Albany addresses are not located within city limits and do not qualify to serve as a Community Connector. Staff verify residency status for all addresses and will send a follow-up if necessary.
