This year’s Juneteenth event brings an incredible lineup of vendors, artists, and performers, creating a vibrant celebration of culture and community. The Chuck Starr Band will set the stage with high-energy R&B, pop, and rock. GOREE brings the powerful rhythms of traditional West African drumming and dance, while the Columbus Cultural Orchestra (CCO) highlights diversity in orchestral music with a performance that’s not to be missed. DJ JDitto will be spinning a dynamic mix of tunes, ensuring the Juneteenth celebration is filled with music and fun for all ages.
Storyteller Lyn Ford will share her signature “Home-Fried Tales,” and a talented New Albany Middle School student, Aeva Joyner, will present a heartfelt a cappella rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” Visual artist MahLeah Cochran will showcase her stunning works that explore nature, humanity, and global connections. Be sure to stroll through Vendor Village to support local businesses, explore the education area to learn more about the significance of Juneteenth, and enjoy delicious offerings from a variety of food trucks.
