To become even more transparent, the city is now providing a link to our transparency portal, where residents can review financial transactions of the city. In addition, the finance department coordinates an annual audit conducted by Ohio’s Auditor of State, and is also responsible for coordinating debt issuance.

New Albany’s general obligation rating from Moody’s Investors Service is AAA, the highest possible rating that can be achieved. New Albany’s Standard & Poor’s rating is AAA, also the highest rating possible.

The 2023 Annual Comprehensive Finance Report (ACFR) is available for review and has been certified by the State.  New Albany’s 2022 ACFR has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, the highest form of governmental accounting recognition from the Government Finance Officers Association, and is available for review.
