City Buildings Re-Opening on Limited Basis

Effective June 15 and until further notice, the City of New Albany will re-open its buildings to the public on a limited basis. Masks will be required for members of the public wishing to enter City buildings to conduct business. For those who do not bring a mask, we will have them available in the lobby of each building. You will be asked to cover your nose and mouth with a mask before attempting to conduct business for your protection and that of the staff unless you are in the midst of a police emergency or have a health condition that prevents you from wearing a mask. If you are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, or are generally not feeling well, you are asked to refrain from entering City buildings to conduct business.

Large meetings and all City Council and City board and commission meetings will continue to be conducted remotely. Those who would like to e-attend a City Council meeting and address City Council are encouraged to contact Clerk of Council Jennifer Mason at jmason@newalbanyohio.org. Ms. Mason will provide instructions to those who reach out to her via email about how and when to address Council at an upcoming meeting.

The following is an opening status for various City functions, City buildings and City pocket parks as of June 15:

  • New Albany Police – lobby already open to the public 24/7
  • Village Hall – Community Development and Mayor’s Court offices will be open to the public from 8a-5p; the City Manager’s Office will be open by appointment, but the Finance Department will remain closed to the public
