Amazon.com has officially opened a one million square foot fulfillment center that will provide 1,000 new jobs at the New Albany International Business Park. The $250 million project nearly doubles the amount of investment in the park’s rapidly growing High-Tech Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster which includes Bath & Body Works and Takeya. With the addition of Amazon.com, the cluster includes over 5.4 million square feet of development, more than 3,700 employees and a private investment of $475 million.

 The latest opening underscores New Albany’s reputation as an innovative community and sound business investment for companies throughout the country. With recently announced investments by Intel and Amgen, the business park continues to be one of the most prolific economic development engines in Ohio for job creation and retention.

The strategically-planned business park features technology– and shovel– ready sites, robust 96-strand secure, redundant fiber and a 765,000 V transmission system with redundant power sources. Companies benefit from strong public-private partnerships, 25% faster permitting, one-stop location resources and complimentary site planning.
