We are entering the final phase of construction on New Albany’s US 62 improvement project. The project began in October 2022.

Work during September and October will include remaining hardscape and landscape improvements along the sides of the roadways.

Crews are scheduled to install permanent traffic signals and mast arms in early October before installing street lights in mid-October.

We will also see milling, asphalt placement and lane striping completed by the end of October. Leisure trails will be paved in conjunction with the roadway.

The contractual completion date for the project is December 1, 2023, but the current schedule suggests the project will be completed before Thanksgiving.
