Please be advised that the Plain Township Fire Department (PTFD) will be conducting several controlled burns of properties along New Albany-Condit Road in the upcoming weeks. The property owner is allowing PTFD to use the properties to conduct potentially life-saving training exercises.

The first controlled burn was originally scheduled for June 19 at 6939 New Albany-Condit Road but has been postponed by Plain Township due to the forecasted hot temperatures and high heat index. We will relay an updated date when it has been identified.

During the burns, residents may see some smoke in the area. Residents will likely notice most smoke at the end of the training. PTFD firefighters will control the smoke and debris with hose streams.
