Traffic Update: Camera Installation Work Starting Week of December 9

Starting the week of December 9, Complete General will be working to install new traffic cameras at several key intersections in our community. These cameras are used to improve the timing for the intersections by determining how much traffic is backed up. The cameras will replace previous loop detection equipment that was damaged during recent street improvement projects.

We understand the timing at these intersections has been less than ideal over the past few weeks, and we’re pleased to have the equipment on hand to resolve this issue. The work is expected to improve traffic flow and enhance safety for all travelers.

What to Expect:

  • Intersections Impacted: Work will take place at the following locations: Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road and Dublin-Granville Road, US-62 and Forest Drive, and the US-62 and Turkey Hill/Sheetz intersection. (See maps for details).

Aerial view of an intersection with labeled businesses: Sheetz Gas Station, Wendy's, Aldi's, and Turkey Hill Gas Station. Aerial view of a road intersection labeled with street names: US-62 SB/NB and Forest Drive. Includes "Private drive, future extension" at the top left. Aerial view of an intersection with labeled streets: Reynoldsburg New Albany Rd, Dublin-Granville Rd, and US-605. Parking lots, trees, and buildings surround the area.

  • Work Hours: To minimize disruptions, the contractor will perform most arterial road work during off-peak hours.

  • Traffic Impacts: While we aim to keep delays to a minimum, there may be temporary lane closures or slowdowns in and around these intersections.

Work will take several days and could continue through the week of December 16 depending on weather. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve your driving experience in New Albany. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to the public service department at publicservice@newalbanyohio.org.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
