Fleetwood Gold Concert Update

Due to high demand for the Fleetwood Gold concert, new entry procedures are in place for the August 7th performance. All passes for City of New Albany residents and New Albany-Plain Local School District residents have been claimed. If you received a pass via email, you can enter the amphitheater at 6:15 p.m. For those without passes, general admission begins at 7 p.m. if seating is available in the amphitheater; however, all are welcome to enjoy the free concert from the surrounding lawn areas.

How do I get a pass to go to the Fleetwood Gold concert?

All passes for City of New Albany residents and New Albany-Plain Local School District residents have been claimed. If you received a pass via email, you can enter the amphitheater at 6:15 p.m. For those without passes, general admission begins at 7 p.m. if seating is available in the amphitheater; however, all are welcome to enjoy the free concert from the surrounding lawn areas.

Gate Opening for Passholders: Passholders can enter the amphitheater beginning at 6:15 p.m. You must be in line to enter by 6:50 p.m. or your pass will be forfeited. Passholders should use the McCoy entrance gate.

For those without pre-registered passes, entry to the amphitheater will be on a first-come, first-served basis, if seats remain available. The Middle School gate will open at 7 p.m. for general admission.

 

Even if amphitheater seating is full, we encourage everyone to enjoy the concert from the surrounding lawn areas. Bring your chairs and find a comfortable spot!

Yes. Each free pass allows entry for up to 4 people, and that includes children, babies, and anyone in a stroller.

Please plan to park throughout the City. Various parking options are available and highlighted on the map below. If you’re a passholder, please account for parking time when planning your arrival.

McGuffey Lane

June 12th

McGuffey Lane’s roots go back to 1972 and if you’re a country music fan from Ohio, they need no introduction. Their long history includes major record deals, national tours and many ups and downs along the way, but one thing has never changed – their country rock sound. Join us to enjoy Columbus’ own musical legend, the great McGuffey Lane.

Grassinine

June 26th

Grassinine features banjo, washboard, the spoons and a stringed “gut-bucket” in addition to more traditional instruments. Equal parts rock, blues and bluegrass with a healthy serving of fun, the band’s mountain rock will get your toes tapping.

Buzz Bin

July 10th

90’s music rocks…and Buzz Bin will take you there! Always fun and upbeat, this band will transport you to the era of flannels, beanie babies and dial up AOL. Playing everything from the alt-rock of Third Eye Blind and the Gin Blossoms to the pop hits of the Spice Girls and the Backstreet Boys with some one-hit-wonders like “No Rain” and “Closing Time” sprinkled in along the way.

Yumbambe

July 24th

Yumbambe’s lush sounds of jazz harmony paired with the vibrant rhythms of Afro-Cuban drumming make this Latin Jazz band one of the hottest acts in town! The band includes some of Columbus’ most prominent Jazz musicians, male and female vocals and an eclectic mix of authentic percussion instruments.

Fleetwood Gold

August 7th

This tribute act is more than a show, it is an experience and it’s all about the music. The band’s tightly fused vocal harmonies, lead vocals and instrumental excellence have made them the most followed Fleetwood Mac tribute band in the Midwest.

Frequently Asked Questions

When and where is the concert?

The concerts are held at the Hinson Amphitheater, 170 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., New Albany, OH 43054 every other Thursday from June 12 through August 7.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert runs from 7 – 8:30 p.m. We recommend arriving early as the Hinson Amphitheater can hit capacity, requiring attendees arriving after capacity is reached to enjoy the show from the lawn. 

No, there is no fee to attend and no tickets are required.

We recommend bringing a chair for seating and a water bottle. You’re also welcome to bring outside food and drink, including alcoholic beverages purchased from a DORA location in a DORA cup. No food or alcohol will be sold at the event.

No concessions will be sold at the concert, so we encourage you to grab a bite to eat beforehand! Consider supporting local restaurants or checking out Healthy New Albany’s Farmers Market. Feel free to bring your own food and beverages into the event, including DORA beverages in an eligible cup from participating locations.

Please do not bring animals or non-DORA alcohol to the concert.

For the safety and enjoyment of others, please leave your animals at home.

Public parking is available all around the Hinson Amphitheater. Please refrain from parking illegally in crosswalks, fire lanes, or other prohibited areas.
