This page contains legal public notices of public hearings as required by Ohio Revised Code §731.21, and New Albany City Code §1111.05, §1111.07, and §1113.05.  If you wish to speak at the public hearing, you must attend the meeting in person.  The meeting will be streamed for viewing purposes only via the City of New Albany.

The New Albany  Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on November 24, 2025 on the following matter:

  • VAR-86-2025 Pool Setback Variance.  A request for variances to C.O. 1173.02 (c) and C.O. 1165.04 (b)(3)(b) to reduce the required pool setbacks and to encroach into an easement at 7503 Ogden Woods Boulevard.

The New Albany Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on December 1, 2025 in the New Albany Village Hall on the following matters:

  • ZC-78-2025 6600 New Albany-Condit Road I-PUD Rezoning.  Request to allow a zoning change from the Rural Residential sub-district of the Urban Center Code to Infill-Planned Unit Development (I-PUD) for 1.116+/- acres of land at 6600 New Albany-Condit Road.

  • FDM-93-2025 The Courtyards at Haines Creek FDP Modification.  Request for centralized mailbox units (CBUs) to be located at The Courtyards at Haines clubhouse on a 1.478-acre site located at 9470 Antioch Drive.

  • ZC-94-2025 US-62 Business Zoning District Rezoning.  Request to rezone 101+/- acres located on Johnstown Road from Agricultural District (AG) to Limited General Employment (L-GE) for an area to be known as the U.S. 62 Business Zoning District.

  • ZC-95-2025 Faith Life Church Expansion Rezoning.  Request to rezone 2+/- acres located at 2365 Beech Rd from Agricultural District (AG) to the existing Infill Planned Unit Development (I-PUD) known as the Faith Life Church I-PUD Zoning District.

UPDATE: The New Albany City Council will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on June 24, 2025 in Village Hall to consider the following Jersey-New Albany Joint Economic Development District No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3:

The City of New Albany proposes to enter into a contract to create three Joint Economic Development Districts known as the “Jersey-New Albany Joint Economic Development District No. 1” (“JEDD No. 1”), “Jersey-New Albany Joint Economic Development District No. 2” (“JEDD No. 2”), and “Jersey-New Albany Joint Economic Development District No. 3” (“JEDD No. 3”), with Jersey Township to facilitate economic development, create and preserve jobs and employment opportunities, and improve the economic welfare of the people in the Township, the JEDD district, and the State of Ohio.

A public hearing on the proposed JEDD contracts will be held at New Albany Village Hall, 99 W. Main Street, New Albany, Ohio, on the day of June 24, 2025 at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers, at which time residents and interested persons may make comments and recommendations, ask questions, and be heard.

A copy of each (a) the JEDD Contract, (b) the description of the area or areas to be included in the JEDD (the “Description”), including a map in sufficient detail to denote the specific boundaries of the area or areas and to indicate any zoning restrictions applicable to the area or areas, and (c) an economic development plan for each JEDD (the “Economic Development Plan”) consisting of a schedule for the provision of the new, expanded or additional services, facilities or improvements identified in each JEDD Contract, and a schedule for the collection of an income tax to be levied in the JEDD, is on file at the office of the Clerk of Council at New Albany Village Hall, 99 W.
