The 2025 Juneteenth event brought an incredible lineup of vendors, artists, and performers, creating a vibrant celebration of culture and community. The Chuck Starr Band set the stage with high-energy R&B, pop, and rock. GOREE brought the powerful rhythms of traditional West African drumming and dance, while the Columbus Cultural Orchestra (CCO) highlighted diversity in orchestral music. DJ JDitto returned to spin a dynamic mix of tunes, ensuring the Juneteenth celebration is filled with music and fun for all ages.
Dr. Anthony Hendrix shared spoken word, and a talented New Albany Middle School student, Aeva Joyner, presented a heartfelt rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” Visual artist MahLeah Cochran showcased her stunning works that explore nature, humanity, and global connections. Attendees had the chance to stroll through Vendor Village to support local businesses, explore the education area to learn more about the significance of Juneteenth, and enjoy delicious offerings from a variety of food trucks.
We would like to thank Amgen and the Greater Columbus Arts Council for serving as our event partners.
