Abbey Brooks

Abbey Brooks joined the City of New Albany in 2022 as the Community Program Administrator, bringing over 20 years of public service designing, scaling, and managing impactful community programs and services. In 2026 she was promoted to the role of Strategic Initiatives Director where she leverages her background in public administration to optimize service delivery, champion data-informed improvements, and lead mission-driven teams toward long-term success.

Abbey has been a New Albany resident since 2001, raising her family in the community and the New Albany-Plain Local School District. She served on the New Albany Parks and Trails Advisory Board from 2018 – 2022 and currently serves as a New Albany Plain Local Joint Parks District board member, a position she has held since 2021. She received her bachelor’s degree from Miami University.
