The City of New Albany is hosting an open house to discuss potential streetscape or roadway-related improvements within the right-of-way in the Cedar Brook neighborhood.
The project is currently in the exploratory phase, and no decisions have been made about potential improvements beyond planned roadway resurfacing. Potential improvements would occur within existing public right-of-way. Regardless of whether the City moves forward with additional streetscape or roadway-related improvements, the Cedar Brook neighborhood is scheduled to be repaved in 2026.
If additional improvements move forward, the City anticipates funding the project without levying a special assessment against Cedar Brook property owners.
This open house is a follow-up to the virtual survey completed earlier this spring. The City will consider survey feedback, along with input gathered at the open house, before determining whether to move forward with any additional improvements.
The plans under consideration do not include connecting any existing dead-end streets in Cedar Brook to a neighboring subdivision.
