Jug Street Reconstruction Project

Starting June 1, the City of New Albany will begin the reconstruction of Jug Street between Clover Valley Road and Mink Street. The project will perform a complete reconstruction of the existing county road including full depth pavement replacement, pavement widening, and the addition of curb, storm sewer, leisure trail, street trees, and a water main. The work should be substantially complete and opened to traffic by December 31, 2026 with final completion slated for spring of 2027, which includes final details such as landscaping, leisure trail, and striping. Trucco Construction will be the contractor for the project.

Between approximately June 1 and December 31, Jug Street will be restricted to eastbound traffic only with westbound traffic detoured via Mink Street and Clover Valley Road.
