Beech Road Between Jug Street and US-62 Construction Impacts

The city is scheduled to begin repairs on Beech Road between Jug Street and US-62 on Monday, October 19. The work will take approximately one month, weather permitting, and will improve the roadway surface to sustain traffic while future permanent improvements are planned.

Temporary lane restrictions will be implemented in two phases:

  • Phase 1 — Jug Street to Miller Road: Northbound traffic only through the work area. Beech Road between Miller Road and US-62 will remain open to two-way traffic.
  • Phase 2 — Miller Road to US-62: Southbound traffic only through the work area. Beech Road between Jug Street and Miller Road will remain open to two-way traffic.

Drivers should expect delays and allow additional travel time. Please see the accompanying traffic exhibits for details.

Separately, permanent roadway improvements on Beech Road between Smiths Mill Road and Jug Street are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with substantial completion targeted for the fourth quarter of 2027. The city adjusted the roadway construction start date to reduce the duration of traffic impacts.
