New Albany Pickleball Court Maintenance

The westernmost eight pickleball courts in New Albany will temporarily close starting June 16, 2025, for essential maintenance and repairs, including resurfacing, leveling, and new striping. The eastern courts will remain open during this three-week, weather-dependent project.

Rumpke Battery Fires: Help Keep Workers Safe

In the past month, Rumpke has experienced more than a dozen fires in the communities it serves—most caused by lithium-ion batteries placed in trash or recycling carts. These fires put collection crews, firefighters, and the community at serious risk while damaging trucks and facilities.

Beech Road Traffic Impact

Work is underway on a major utility project in the New Albany International Business Park. Beginning around August 27, traffic on Beech Road will be limited to northbound only between Innovation Campus Way and Smith’s Mill Road North.

New Albany Land Purchase to Pave Way for New Athletic Campus

The City of New Albany has announced a major land acquisition in partnership with New Albany-Plain Local Schools to protect and expand the academic campus. The purchase of the former Discover site will allow for the relocation of athletic facilities while preserving green space for the community.
