Learning About the Community Around You

New Albany 101

New Albany 101 is an initiative to educate residents and businesses about local government, economic development, and community resources through special events like behind-the-scenes tours of facilities (like the amphitheater or business park) and informative sessions, making government accessible and engaging citizens with City functions and leadership. It’s part of the IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility) panel’s goals, offering unique experiences beyond regular council meetings.

SOUPer Supper

February 10, 2026 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Few things bring people together like good food, and we’d love for you to join us on Tuesday, February 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Heit Center for our 3rd annual SOUPer Supper! For just $5, you’ll get unlimited soup samples, plus plenty of bread and desserts. And the best part? Every dollar goes directly to the Healthy New Albany Food Pantry, supporting families right here in our community.

We’ll also be awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes to our top soup makers, so break out your grandma’s famous chicken noodle soup recipe for your chance at bragging rights. If you want to jump in as a soup maker, you can register here.
