Ohio’s Winter Safety Awareness Week is recognized November 17-23, 2024. The week provides the perfect opportunity for residents to get prepared for the possible impacts of snow, ice, blizzards, freezing rain, and flooding, as well as the occasional severe thunderstorms or tornadoes that may occur.
“Winter is just around the corner and a little preparation goes a long way in turning a winter storm into a cozy adventure,” said Jeffrey J. Young, Director of Franklin County Emergency Management and Homeland Security. “Stay safe this winter: bundle up, drive with caution and always keep emergency supplies on hand.”Â
