Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration

Kick off the holiday season at the annual New Albany community Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration, presented by the New Albany Chamber, Sunday, November 21, 2021, 2:00pm-5:30pm at Market Square, New Albany. Free family fun includes pictures with Santa, horse and carriage rides, live entertainment, holiday bounce houses, skating snowflakes, stilt-walker, juggler, Frozen characters, face painters, and balloon twisters. Santa arrives at 2pm! Mayor Spalding will lead the countdown to light the holiday tree at sunset (approximately 5:15pm).

Live community entertainment includes singing, performing and dancing by Supafun Band Toy Soldier Quartet, New Albany Ballet Company, Irwin Academy of Irish Dance, New Vision Dance Company, New Albany Middle School Theatre Department, Bones Gone Rogue (a subset of New Albany Winds), New Albany High School Jazz Band, Broadway Bound Dance Centre, and soloist Edin Kebede. There will be strolling acapella Victorian Dickens-era carolers singing favorite holiday songs. Community partners will be on site handing out free goodie bags and treats. Beverages and food available for purchase from food trucks. Thanks For Giving will be on hand collecting items for the New Albany Food Pantry.
