Arbor Day Proclamation & Tree Planting

Celebrate Arbor Day with us on April 25 at 9:30 a.m. at Rose Run Park as we recognize the importance of trees in our community! This special event will feature an official Arbor Day proclamation, followed by local students planting over 300 trees to help grow our urban canopy.

Nature Exploration Day

Taylor Farm Park

Wrap up the celebration from Earth Day to Arbor Day with Nature Exploration Day on May 1 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Taylor Farm Park! Meet friendly farm animals at the petting zoo, plant lettuce and sunflower seeds in the Community Garden, and learn about native plants. Kids can also embark on a fun scavenger hunt with prizes!

This free, family-friendly event is presented by the City of New Albany, COSI, and New Albany-Plain Local Schools. Due to limited parking, please consider walking, biking, or ridesharing. We hope to see you there!
