Independence Day Parade & Festival

Presented by the New Albany Chamber of Commerce, the Independence Day Parade & Festival is a favorite annual tradition that fosters civic pride like no other. Thousands of residents and visitors attend the parade in the morning and the festival in the evening. This free family-friendly festival features a live entertainment, bounce houses, face painters, balloon twisters, and caricature artists. Lt. Dan’s New Legs (LDNL), a pop, dance, and hip hop band from Columbus, OH will be performing. Check them out online! Food and beverages available for purchase from food trucks.
*Fireworks presented by the City of New Albany will start at approximately 9:45pm. If the fireworks are unable to be displayed on July 4th, due to inclement weather, they will be rescheduled for July 5th.

Parade entries are judged and awards are presented for Best Community Spirit (Mayor’s Award) and Most Patriotic (Presidential Award).
Because the event includes food and drink vendors, the Franklin County Health Department prohibits animals, other than legally allowed guide and assistance animals.
