Update October 30, 2025

Beech Road is open southbound only immediately north of the Jug Street intersection. A utility installation has closed the northbound lane and work will be completed toward the end of November.

Beech Road is closed north of Jug Street after groundwater washed out the backfill beneath the roadway, creating unsafe driving conditions. The closure will remain in place until further notice while crews assess and address the damage.

A Sheriff’s deputy has been deployed to prevent truck traffic from traveling south on Beech Road until detour signage is installed. Truck drivers and construction personnel should use US-62, Clover Valley Road, or Mink Street to access State Route 161.

Jug Street remains open to eastbound traffic only between Beech Road and Horizon Court.

At this time, no impacts to the Beech and Jug Street intersection are anticipated; however, City crews are actively monitoring the situation and will share updates if conditions change.
