City Launches Community Connectors Program

We’re on the lookout for passionate New Albany residents to join our brand-new Community Connectors program. As a Community Connector, you’ll be the heartbeat of your neighborhood, helping to organize events and fostering a tight-knit community.

Community Connectors foster social connectivity by providing support to residents and encourage their participation in neighborhood and City activities. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Attend annual training event
  • Attend annual recognition event
  • Be a point of contact between the program lead and the neighborhood
  • Maintain an ongoing contact list of residents in the neighborhood
  • Reach out and provide welcoming support to new residents using the materials provided by the city
  • Plan and support at least one neighborhood event annually:
    • Neighborhood July 4th/Founder’s Day parade float
    • Field Day
    • Pickleball tournaments between neighborhoods
    • Neighborhood picnic
    • Community/neighborhood cleanup
